This project consists of a fully automated Dip-Spin coating line, engineered and delivered by SIDASA Engineering, and installed in Zhenjiang, China. The facility is designed for high-throughput coating of small metal parts, such as fasteners and washers, using zinc-flake technology. The line integrates advanced surface treatment processes with robotic handling and automation systems to ensure consistent quality, traceability, and compliance with strict environmental standards.
SIDASA acted as the main integrator, overseeing the complete development of the line — from engineering and equipment supply to installation, automation, and commissioning. The solution also includes auxiliary systems for VOC treatment and wastewater management, ensuring full alignment with local environmental regulations.
SIDASA Engineering provided the complete turnkey delivery, including:
Pretreatment section: Automated degreasing and zirconium-based coating, with robotic basket handling (DR4 units), multi-stage rinsing, and drying tunnel.
Dip-Spin coating: Two ZT-50+ planetary motion Dip-Spin machines ensure homogeneous application and gentle handling of delicate parts.
Soft handling and automation: Fully robotic basket movement system using 6-axis robots, eliminating manual intervention and optimizing process flow.
Curing oven: Three-level FO-50/3 continuous oven with independent combustion zones for drying, curing, and cooling.
Automation and SCADA: Entire system controlled by SIDASA’s proprietary SCADA and PLC software, enabling real-time monitoring, full traceability, and MES integration.
Environmental systems: Integration of external wastewater treatment and VOC abatement systems under SIDASA’s supervision and interface control.
