This project features a fully integrated in-house coating system designed to apply a high-performance zinc flake coating to metal parts directly following the upstream bending and heat treatment steps.

The process includes several fully automated stages:

  1. Blastingfor surface preparation
  2. Automatic loading of parts onto racks
  3. Two-layer coating(base coat and top coat)
  4. Automated unloading and packaging

The system utilizes proven zinc flake and topcoat technology, providing superior corrosion protection and chemical resistance.

The coating is applied by ABB industrial robots using high-speed rotary atomizers and electrostatic support. Despite the use of solvent-based paints, an isolated, potential-separated paint supply system is required due to the conductivity of the materials.

This in-house coating solution enables highly efficient, automated coating operations directly at the production site—even in high-wage countries—ensuring maximum process control and consistent quality.
